We love visiting gardens and walking around the lake that is next to our apartment. We can't seem to get enough of the ducks with their new babies and the swans sitting on their nests. The post today is a variety of pictures that we have taken over the last couple of weeks. We continue to love our work each afternoon and evening at the center for Young Adults, but the mornings we have time to enjoy walks around Copenhagen.
These are a variety of sights we have seen on our morning walks. The boys are Danish boy scouts, the ornate organ was in a Danish Lutheran church that we visited and the other is some lovely spring gardens.
Is there anything more Danish than a castle with swans in the moat? The other picture John titles "Two Queens".
We found this painting by Danish painter, Christian Dalsgaard, called "Mormons visit a Country Carpenter" painted in 1856 shortly after the first Mormon missionaries came to Denmark. It is located in the National Art Museum.
